EMDR for Trauma (and much more)
Out of all the psychotherapies available, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) has proven to be one of the most effective methods for treating trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
An EMDR therapist often uses their fingers to guide eye movements, or other bilateral methods, like lightbars, and hand "buzzies". EMDR techniques are often calming, desensitize symptoms of trauma, and actually, remove it in place of a new and more appropriate belief system and response. This is a great therapy for people who need effective therapy that's effect continues after you leave!
