Loving Communication

As told by Thich Nhat Hanh, to love without knowing how wounds the person we love. To know how to love someone, we have to know how to understand them. To understand, we need to listen. That person may be our sibling, our lover, a friend, or our child. You can ask the other person, "Do you think I understand you enough? Please tell me your deepest difficulties, your suffering, and your deepest wishes. This passage from How To Love by Thich Nhat Hanh touches on some critical and core subjects that we need to learn to be capable of opening ourselves to and especially in relearning to disengage from our phones, busy lives, and distractions and to be complete with that person at the moment. Turn the phones to silent. STOP what you are doing, and be present in the now. There is no other time but now. It's the most precious gift we have, and one of us could be gone tomorrow. What would you regret not knowing or regret not having said?
