Are You Suffering From Depression?
Everyone experiences periods of sadness or grief at some point in their lives, but depression is different. Depression is characterized by feelings of deep sadness, worthlessness and hopelessness that can lead to over eating, inability to leave the house, and an inability to do work, chores or hobbies. There are a lot of people right now with mild depression due to conditions in our world. Some are developing into clinical problems, and others are having a harder time than usual with their depression.
Depressed people tend to avoid socializing or do not socialize very well, which further deepens feelings of sadness and worthlessness. Roses no longer smell pretty, nor have colour as they once may have.
Therapy can help you learn more about yourself while reflecting and learning new tools to cope and feel better. The act itself of doing something good for yourself is big a step in the right direction!
